The St. Gallen Symposium is one of Europe’s best-known intergenerational dialogue events, held at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. For the 56th edition in April 2027, master’s and PhD students can qualify through the Global Ideas Competition.
The 100 best entrants join the symposium as “Leaders of Tomorrow”, debating with around 600 senior leaders from business, politics and academia. The top three ideas share a CHF 20,000 prize pool.
Master’s or PhD students at a research university (enrolled as of 1 February 2027), born in 1997 or later. Individual entries only.
Fully funded for selected Leaders of Tomorrow: travel, board and lodging are covered.
Few events give students this level of access to senior leaders, and selection is based purely on the quality of your idea.
This summit is organised by International Students’ Committee (ISC), St. Gallen Symposium. Global Youth Conferences lists it to help young people discover international opportunities. One page lists the dates as 28–29 April 2027; please confirm with the organiser. Dates, fees and eligibility can change, so always confirm the final details on the organiser’s official website before applying or travelling.
