The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings bring Nobel Laureates and young scientists together on the island of Lindau in Lake Constance, Germany. The 76th meeting, dedicated to physiology/medicine, runs from 27 June to 2 July 2027.
Around 600 undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students and young postdocs from more than 80 countries take part in lectures, panels and informal exchanges with about 40 Laureates.
Open to: Young scientists studying or researching in a country with a Lindau Academic Partner (via nomination).
Undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students and young postdocs in physiology/medicine, nominated by an Academic Partner.
Depends on the nominating partner; some partners cover costs, others require a contribution plus travel.
It is the world’s best-known meeting between Nobel Laureates and the next generation of scientists.
This forum is organised by Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. Global Youth Conferences lists it to help young people discover international opportunities. The open application route closed on 6 October 2026; applicants now need a nomination from an Academic Partner, some of which have earlier internal deadlines. Dates, fees and eligibility can change, so always confirm the final details on the organiser’s official website before applying or travelling.
